The Story Behind TickSnap
Ticksnap was conceived in the spring of 2026, after a terrible tick season began. I was inspired by all of the horrible stories from individuals impacted by diseases from ticks.
I (Eric) began iterating on the design, tested prototypes, and eventually delivered the early production model you can purchase today.
The hope is to sell enough TickSnap’s to eventually scale production and make it cheaper and more widely available. I want to do everything I can to help mitigate tick proliferation.
A design patent was filed for the initial design May 2026, making it “Patent-Pending”
Initial production began, with first shipments June 2026
Get back to the outdoorsI live in the forests of WI, along with plenty of ticks.
I now have piece of mind that I can easily deal with ticks when I encounter them (and I do frequently)
Meet the Machine
Current production is small batch, Additive manufacturing. Future larger runs will be with SLA or injection molding.
